Krzysztof Oplustil, Ph.D., graduate of the Law and Administration Faculty of Jagiellonian University Cracow (1998). Ph.D. thesis on the Polish and German corporate law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg (2000, scientific tutor: Prof. Dr. Peter Hommelhoff). Scientific assistant in the Chair of Economic Policy at Jagiellonian University (since 2001) and in the Institute of German and European Institute of Company and Economic Law at University Heidelberg (February 2002-January 2005). Winner of the Sofja Kovalevskaja-Prize awarded by the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation (Germany). His comparative and interdisciplinary research concentrates on the economic and civil law and on the European law. Author of many publications, including books and monographs in this field. In the time September 2003  March 2004 he was a member of the group of experts at the Ministry of Justice of the Polish Republic who prepared a draft of the statute on European Economic Interest Grouping and European Company.
