Ing., Ph.D.

Senior Researcher, Institute of Slovak and World Economy, Slovak Academy of Sciences (Dept. of Microeconomics and Enterprise Research). Previously served as economic advisor to the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic (1991-1992) and as a member of the Ministry of Finance's Capital Market Committee. Research and policy advice concentrate on privatization, building of institutions, corporate governance, regional development, foreign direct investment, innovation, alliances and networks. Has lectured in economics at the Comenius University, Bratislava, and acted as Coordinator for economics and finance at the School of Public Administration, Academia Istropolitana. Ph.D. in economics, Institute of Economics, Slovak Academy of Sciences. Serves as deputy chairperson of the Scientific council at ISWE SAS. Currently is also a member of the Scientific council at the Institute of Forecasting SAS, the editorial board of the journal International issues and member of the executive board of Ekonomicky casopis/Journal of Economics. Appointed by the Minister of Education as a member of VEGA (research grants) commission for social sciences (law and economics).

Has lectured and participated at numerous seminars, projects and conferences both home and abroad (e.g., Australia, 2003). Research fellowships and short visits included Greece (1997), Sweden (2000, 2001, and 2002), China (1998), Japan (Chuo University - 1997), UK (University of Reading - 1994), Austria (1995, 1997, and 2002) and Luxembourg (1992).
